‘Agatha Raisin’ is a comedy-crime drama starring Ashley Jensen. Based on a much loved series of novels by M.C Beaton, Agatha Raisin and her ensemble of supporting friends and neighbours, endeavour to solve crime in the supposedly idyllic Cotswolds village of Carsely. Commissioned by Sky, Free@Last TV partnered with Mammoth Screen to create the pilot episode and Series 1. Acorn TV commissioned the second and third series with Free@Last TV, partnering with Company Pictures. Sold around the world the series locations are now on a much trodden fan based tour itinerary.
Series 3 was nominated for Best International Drama alongside the likes of Euphoria, Succession and Game of Thrones at the 2020 Edinburgh TV Awards. Series 4 premiered at Christmas 2021, with the special Kissing Christmas Goodbye. The rest of Series 4 will air in 2022.
